The vehicles seat 8 or 6 people depending on the car size needed, including your tour guide driver and up to 7 or 5 additional passengers. Types of Tours
Day Tour
There are various times throughout the day to book a day tour and see DC’s incredible sites. Day tours available at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM everyday. Tours can be booked at 5:00 PM on the weekends as well. The day tour is 2 hours, and there are multiple opportunities to get off, take a closer look at the sites, and take pictures.
The Capital Express Day Tour allows you to enjoy a narrated tour down Pennsylvania Avenue from the Whitehouse to the Capitol, through the heart of the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums to the Washington Monument. After passing the United States Holocaust Museum and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing we will go around the Tidal Basin to observe the Thomas Jefferson, George Mason, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War Memorials, and so many other interesting and amusing details of this great capital city. Night Tour
The night tour allows you to experience DC sights under lights and is available for booking every day at 8:00 PM in the summer. This 2 hour “Twilight Tour” includes sundown, an exceptional display of light and color, and the night, illuminated with powerful, glowing energy. You will see and learn about the historical monuments of Washington, DC, while creating lasting memories on the Capitol Express. The Capitol building lit at night time is one of the most stunning sites in DC. You will enjoy ample opportunities to capture iconic photographs with your family and friends, from one stop to the next. Private Tour
Private tours are also available for both day and night tours. Private tours are perfect for your family and friends. You can choose if you need a 7 seat car or a 5 seat car. Thus, this tour will not combine smaller groups allowing for a more personal experience on your tour throughout the city.
