It’s Almost Earth Day!

Earth Day is a yearly celebration that reminds us of the importance of preserving and protecting our planet. On this day, people around the world come together to raise awareness about environmental issues and take action to address them. Since its inception in 1970, Earth Day has grown into a global movement that inspires individuals and communities to make changes in their daily lives and advocate for policies that prioritize sustainability.

History of Earth Day

Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22nd and marks the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Prior to the first Earth Day, environmental concerns were largely ignored by mainstream America. However, the publication of Rachel Carson’s book Silent Spring in 1962 raised public awareness and concern for the environment and its impact on human health. Earth Day 1970 provided a voice for this emerging environmental consciousness and put environmental concerns in the spotlight.
